We have quite a large feijoa tree in our back garden (^^^ The Tree).
I'm not 100% sure how old it is, but it's massive.
This year we seemed to have more feijoas then ever - there are still more left on the tree at the time of posting this!
The first batch we got became the most delicious feijoa and poppy seed upside down cake (recipe here) and then a batch of sweet feijoa alcohol, this is so delicious with sparkling water and a dash of lime over ice!
Second batch we donated 2 bags to Nick's Mum to make feijoa jam with and made a second upside down cake and donated another bag to some friends and our flatmate Pete's Mum!
We currently have two full bags + a fruit bowl + some on the tree still - feijoa smoothies is on the cards for today and then maybe some more epic baking?? Who knows!
